POVEY
WHO IS KAREN POVEY,
Around 20 plus years ago I purchased a cute homely cottage in the gorgeous hills area of Melbourne in the amazing Dandenong Ranges area with the iconic Puffing Billy close by.
The intention was to renovate to add value also with the future potential of a subdivision development into two lucrative blocks. The WOW factor was replacing the old large dining area and building of a deck with views of the hills nearby.
What eventuated was an amazing financial reward for myself and a realisation that my natural creative flare resulted in myself being able to bring together concepts, colours and designs that not only worked well but looked fabulous and functioned well too.
I then sold this property and made an amazing profit! Light bulb moment ‘This is fun, I have flair. I can do this!’
Since then I have progressed by not only completing more projects, but I’ve gained a property education with the likes of Bob Anderson as a project adviser. He is well known within the property industry and is held in the highest regards as being the expert in his field and go to guy for over 38 years. His advice and knowledge has been invaluable.
Then came 'Let’s Unite Projects'. Now I help people who are in the same situation as I was, they either lack the time, experience or money. They want to maximise the property they are in, by contacting us at, 'Let’s Unite Projects' where we can also assist them with any other properties they may have.

DESIGN
People fall in love with property via emotion, hence why design within property, whether its a development or cosmetic renovation is a crucial component.
When making arrangements on your design aspect, you have to keep in mind who you’re selling too, that way you’ll be able to adjust plans accordingly to your buyer. For example, 2 parents, 3 kids and a dog, will need a lot of storage space and a outdoor playing area in comparison to a single tenant.
Word of advice, don’t get emotionally attached!

COMMUNICATION
For both buyers and sellers, communication within your property process is key for a smooth experience. If your builders running late, your painters are behind on schedule or maybe you’ve run into a plumbing problem, keeping your entire team up to date is always appreciated. That way you can adapt and make adjustment then and there, without any hidden surprises when getting on site.
I love how advanced technology is these days. A quick phone call, Zoom or FaceTime easily does the trick in order to communicate with clients.
